Private Membership Club Bartender and Server

We are looking for an experienced, personable, and competent bartender. You will be the face of our club and responsible for building rapport with our members and their guests. You will need to be quick on your feet while having a polite, friendly, and positive attitude. If you enjoy talking to people and thrive in a full-service environment, we would like to meet you. Your goal will be to provide high-quality service and specialty craft cocktails that will help us maintain and attract new members alike.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bar area with special attention to sanitation, cleanliness, and order
• Knowledgeable about restaurant and bar menus while helping members select beverages and food accordingly
• Answer questions or make recommendations for an exclusive, first-class dining and cocktail experience
• Interact with members and their guests while building friendly relationships
• Mix appropriate ingredients to prepare house made and traditional cocktails
• Plan and present bar menu or specialties when requested
• Able to take food orders and deliver when needed
• Check members' or guests’ identification while confirming legal drinking age
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations, and knowledge of applicable laws
• Opening and closing of bar and club requirements
• Work weekends and holidays when needed
• Attention to cleanliness, safety, and any Department of Health protocols

Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience in customer service and fine craft cocktail offerings
• Great listener with a member-oriented approach
• Excellent people skills with a friendly can-do attitude
• Responsible, trustworthy, and reliable
• Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks
• Experience in pairing wine and spirits with food
• Able to stand on feet for long hours, and able to lift at least 35 to 50 pounds
• Assessing member needs and preferences while making recommendations
• Resume and proven working experience behind a bar
• Blue card holder

• Hilo, HI 96720: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Work Location: One location

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift
