- Is patient, emotionally regulated, and able to handle big feelings without escalating situations
- Understands sensory needs and can recognize overstimulation or dysregulation
- Is proactive, engaging, and enjoys playing, teaching, and interacting (not just supervising)
- Can balance structure and flexibility throughout the day
- Is reliable, communicative, and trustworthy

- Plan and engage in age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development
- Support emotional regulation using gentle, supportive approaches
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for the children
- Assist with daily routines, including bathing, dressing, and diaper changes
- Manage nap times and daily transitions to ensure consistency and rest
- Maintain a clean and organized play environment (light child-related tidying)
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding the children’s day, progress, and any concerns
- Provide basic first aid when necessary
Experience & Requirements
- Prior childcare experience (nannying, babysitting, daycare, etc.) is required
- Experience with neurodivergent children is required
- Familiarity with infant and toddler care
- CPR/First Aid certification required (or willing to obtain)
Bonus If You:
- Have experience with sensory play or therapy-based activities
- Have a background in education, child development, OT, or similar
