Role Overview

We are seeking experienced, passionate, and dependable tutors to support students in grades K–3, with a strong emphasis on reading/phonics (K–3). Any teachers with experience preparing a student to start Kindergarten would be highly favored. Any experience with LETRS, science of reading instruction, or dyslexia is preferred (but not required). Tutors must be confident in creating individualized lesson plans and delivering engaging, results-driven instruction in the student’s home.

This role is ideal for educators looking to build strong relationships with families and support students consistently throughout the 2026 summer break and potentially into the Fall 2026 school year.

Key Responsibilities

✅ Provide one-on-one instruction in either early literacy (K–3) with emphasis on phonics, spelling, and fluency instruction
✅ Develop and implement customized lesson plans based on each student’s needs
✅ Use research-based teaching strategies and adjust instruction as needed
✅ Monitor and track student progress over time
✅ Communicate regularly and clearly with parents/guardians about goals and growth

Qualifications

✔ Strong background in reading instruction (phonics & early literacy) and/or math education
✔ Experience tutoring or teaching students in K–5
✔ Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
✔ Familiarity with research-based literacy or math practices
✔ Excellent communication and organizational skills
✔ Ability to commute reliably to students’ homes in Paradise Valley, Scottsdale, and/or DC Ranch
✔ Willingness to commit to tutoring students for the entire 2026 summer and potentially into the Fall 2026 school year
✔ Professional, dependable, and passionate about student success

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: Up to $50.00 per hour
Expected Hours: 1 – 5 per week (up to your schedule)
Schedule: Summer hours could be any time during the day or after school and early evening hours, weekends (only if interested, not required)
