Join our dynamic team as a PRN CPA, where you will leverage your extensive accounting expertise to support a variety of financial functions on a flexible, as-needed basis. As a PRN CPA, you will play a vital part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with industry standards, and effective financial management across multiple projects and departments. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review complex financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct detailed account reconciliations including general ledger, bank statements, and subsidiary ledgers such as accounts receivable and payable.
  • Assist with audit preparations, including supporting documentation collection and audit trail maintenance.
  • Perform variance analysis and financial report interpretation to identify trends, discrepancies, or areas for improvement.
  • Manage journal entries, accruals, and adjustments using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, or Xero.
  • Support compliance efforts related to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls and other regulatory reporting obligations.
  • Provide mentorship to junior staff or interns on accounting best practices, technical concepts, and software tools like Microsoft Excel or Quicken.
  • Contribute to budgeting, cash flow analysis, and forecasting activities to support sound financial decision-making.

Experience

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required; prior experience in public accounting or corporate finance preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial accounting principles including GAAP, accrual accounting, double-entry bookkeeping, and account reconciliation processes.
  • Proven ability to utilize various accounting software platforms such as QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, Xero, or similar tools effectively.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks including securities law and governmental accounting standards.
  • Experience with internal controls such as SOX compliance and LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) reporting is highly desirable.
  • Skilled in financial report writing and interpretation with excellent analytical skills for financial statement preparation and review.
