Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist to join our healthcare team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the cardiac catheterization laboratory operations, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety during diagnostic and interventional procedures. Your expertise will drive the development of best practices and procedures while fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily operations of the cardiac catheterization laboratory, ensuring optimal workflow and patient care.
- Supervise and mentor a team of technologists and support staff, promoting professional development and adherence to protocols.
- Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and institutional policies related to catheterization procedures.
- Conduct quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory operations.
- Maintain and troubleshoot sophisticated medical equipment used in catheterization procedures.
- Stay current with advancements in cardiac technology and techniques to drive innovation in the lab.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Nursing, or related field.
- Current certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in cardiac catheterization, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and interventional procedures.
Preferred:
- Advanced certification in a specialized area of cardiovascular intervention.
- Proven track record of implementing process improvements within a catheterization laboratory.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and laboratory information systems.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in operating advanced catheterization equipment and imaging technologies.
- Familiarity with minimally invasive cardiac procedures and emerging technologies.
- Proficient in data analysis and reporting for quality assurance initiatives.

Pay: From $50.00 per hour
