PRN Licensed Practical Nurse

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our HOMEHEALTH team. The ideal candidate will provide essential nursing care to patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being while adhering to established protocols and standards. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

LPN PAYS $40 PER VISIT WITH COMPLETED NOTES

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans for patients.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the supervising nurse or physician.
  • Perform IV insertion and maintain IV lines as necessary.
  • Utilize aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infection.
  • Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (eClinicalWorks) and maintain confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care, particularly for those with developmental disabilities or requiring specialized support.
  • Educate patients and their families on health management, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
  • Support toddler care initiatives when applicable, ensuring a nurturing environment for young patients.

Qualifications

  • Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice.
  • Experience in an ICU setting is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with medical imaging procedures is a plus.
  • Knowledge of coding practices related to nursing documentation is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control measures.
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
  • Excellent patient care skills with a focus on empathy and support.
  • Proficient in using electronic health record systems such as eClinicalWorks.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment while also being able to function independently when necessary.
