Key Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, evidence-based nursing care to Med-Surg / IMU patients with varying acuity levels.
  • Perform thorough assessments, anticipate needs, and respond promptly to subtle changes in patient condition.
  • Administer medications and therapies with precision, safety, and a reassuring bedside manner.
  • Partner closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate individualized care plans.
  • Offer clear, compassionate education to patients and families during vulnerable moments.
  • Ensure meticulous, timely documentation that reflects the quality and integrity of the care provided.

PRN Scheduling and Availability

This PRN opportunity is ideal for nurses who value both flexibility and a high standard of practice. Please indicates the specific days and shifts you are able to work, for example:

  • Weekday days & evenings
  • Weekday evenings or nights
  • Weekends (days and/or nights)
  • Selected holidays or peak-need dates

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Active RN license in the State of Texas (or compact license in good standing).
  • Recent experience in Medical Surgical and/or Intermediate/Stepdown nursing strongly preferred.
  • Current BLS certification required; ACLS, PALS highly preferred.
  • Exceptional communication skills, polished professional demeanor, and strong critical-thinking ability.
  • Demonstrated reliability, integrity, and commitment to maintaining a calm, welcoming environment for patients, families, and colleagues.

Qualifications • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited graduate nursing program with a focus on family practice. • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the State of Texas (or eligibility to obtain). • National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP C or FNP BC) by a recognized certifying body (e.g., AANP or ANCC). • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
