PRN Medical Technician/ALF Resident Aide

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Technician/Floor Aide (Med Tech) (PRN) to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities

  • Assist with patient care activities such as vital signs collection, catheter care, tube feeding, and medication administration following established protocols
  • Document medical information accurately using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner
  • Support nursing staff by preparing treatment areas and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality
  • Monitor patients’ physiological responses and report any changes or concerns promptly to healthcare providers
  • Assist with activities of daily living for seniors and individuals with disabilities in various care settings
  • Maintain detailed medical records, including documentation of vital signs, medication schedules, and medical procedures performed
  • Support specialized care needs such as Alzheimer’s, memory care, hospice, dementia, and home care services

Skills

  • Proven experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals or community health environments
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and patient care procedures
  • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate documentation
  • Ability to perform clinical tasks including catheter care, tube feeding assistance, medication administration and vital signs measurement
  • Excellent caregiving skills with experience supporting seniors or individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with healthcare teams and engaging with patients compassionately
