Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws using proper aseptic techniques to ensure specimen integrity
• Collect, label, process, and transport specimens accurately according to established protocols
• Obtain vital signs and assess patient condition prior to procedures to ensure safety and comfort
• Maintain detailed documentation of procedures, patient information, and specimen details in compliance with privacy regulations
• Provide compassionate patient care by explaining procedures clearly and addressing patient concerns effectively
• Adhere to laboratory procedures, safety standards, and infection control protocols at all times
• Travel between mobile sites and healthcare facilities to conduct blood draws efficiently and reliably

Skills

• Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, techniques, and specimen processing methods
• Proven laboratory experience with a focus on phlebotomy and blood sampling techniques
• Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly using medical terminology
• Familiarity with physiology, anatomy, vital signs measurement, and aseptic techniques
• Experience working in hospital or clinical laboratory environments preferred
• Proficiency in venipuncture, blood collection, and handling of specimens in accordance with safety standards
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple appointments in various locations
