Duties

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients’ physical conditions using physiology and anatomy knowledge to identify impairments and functional limitations.
• Develop and execute tailored care plans incorporating physiotherapy techniques such as trigger point therapy and orthopedics interventions to facilitate optimal recovery.
• Assist patients in discharge planning by coordinating with healthcare teams and ensuring smooth transitions to home or community care settings.
• Provide hands-on therapy sessions focusing on improving mobility, reducing pain, and restoring strength for patients across geriatrics, orthopedics, and other specialties.
• Document patient progress accurately within electronic medical record (EMR) systems, maintaining detailed records of treatments administered and outcomes achieved.
• Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, self-care strategies, and home exercise programs to support ongoing recovery outside clinical settings.

Requirements

• Valid licensure or certification as a licensed Physical Therapist in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Proven experience in physiotherapy practices including outpatient clinics, inpatient hospital settings, or home & community care environments.
• Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and therapeutic techniques such as trigger point therapy.
• Experience with discharge planning and creating effective care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation and patient management.
• Ability to work effectively across diverse populations including pediatrics and geriatrics in various settings such as hospitals or home health services.
• Excellent communication skills to educate patients about treatment plans and recovery processes. Pay: $90.00 per hour
