Miorini Law, based in Vienna, VA, is hiring an Associate Attorney who is hungry to learn and help clients with a range of needs through life’s journey, including Probate & Trust Administration and Estate Planning.
What will you see, do, and experience?
Most likely, no two days will be alike, as we all know life happens. However, a typical day will involve working on multiple probate and trust administration cases for clients, meeting with clients, as well as doing a lot of document drafting initially as you learn their processes and systems.
Compensation:
$65,000 - $90,000 yearly
Responsibilities:-
Handle and work on multiple probate/trust administration cases and tasks for clients.

Provide legal advice and guidance in the areas of estate planning and elder care, as well as drafting of estate planning documents.

Draft documents under the supervision of senior attorneys, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney for finances and healthcare, HIPAA authorizations, and various other documents related to estate planning, estate and trust administration, and long-term care planning.

Draft entity formation documents, such as corporations, limited liability companies, and partnerships.

Take initiative to develop a thorough understanding of elder law issues, including Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, and related issues.

Work on funding of estate plans, gathering needed documentation, and liaising with clients as needed.

Gather relevant information via discussions with clients and utilize proper checklists to ensure proper preparation of documents.

Ensure the highest level of client satisfaction by responding within one business day to all client calls, questions, or inquiries.

Enter all time worked daily and keep all client matters updated in Clio.

Support all internal team members consistent with the mission, culture, and values.
Qualifications:-
JD degree from an accredited school of law; license to practice law in Virginia.

2-5 years’ experience with knowledge in probate, estate planning, trust administration, and long-term care planning preferred.

Tech savvy- proficient in MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams, with the ability to work within and/or learn other databases, such as Clio and Adapt.

High attention to detail, research skills, and proofreading skills.
