Full Time Paralegal

Nelson Allen Walk, PLLC. is looking to hire a full-time paralegal with experience handling probate and trust administration matters to join its team in Puyallup, Washington.

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Probate Paralegal to join our team and support our attorneys in guiding clients through the probate and estate administration process. The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of Washington State probate procedures, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple cases with accuracy and compassion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft and file probate petitions, notices, inventories, accountings, and other court-required documents.
  • Prepare and review estate planning documents, including wills, powers of attorney, and trust-related filings.
  • Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings and client meetings.
  • Coordinate and communicate with clients, courts, financial institutions, and government agencies.
  • Manage deadlines and maintain case calendars to ensure compliance with Washington probate rules.
  • Conduct legal research and gather supporting documentation as needed.
  • Organize and maintain probate case files both electronically and in hard copy.
  • Support attorneys with trust and estate dispute matters, including discovery assistance and document production.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of probate or estate administration paralegal experience in Washington State.
  • Strong knowledge of Washington probate statutes, Superior Court rules, and local county procedures.
  • Ability to draft clear, accurate pleadings and correspondence with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and case management software.
  • Strong communication skills and client service orientation.
  • Washington State certification as a Limited License Legal Technician (LLLT) or Notary Public a plus, but not required.
  • Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate preferred.
