Process Design Engineer – STP / ETP / WTP

We are looking for an experienced Process Design Engineer to design, optimize, and support Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP), and Water Treatment Plants (WTP). The role involves process calculations, P&ID development, technology selection, and coordination with project and execution teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop process schemes for STP, ETP, and WTP projects
• Perform process calculations for flow, load, and treatment efficiency
• Prepare Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), P&IDs, hydraulic calculations, and mass balance
• Select appropriate treatment technologies based on influent characteristics and discharge norms
• Prepare technical specifications and data sheets for equipment
• Review tender documents, BOQs, and technical proposals
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, electrical, and automation teams
• Support commissioning, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
• Ensure compliance with CPCB/SPCB norms and environmental regulations
• Provide technical support during client discussions and site visits

Required Skills & Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of STP, ETP, and WTP treatment processes
• Experience in MBR, MBBR, SBR, ASP, RO, UF, MEE, ZLD systems
• Proficiency in preparing PFDs, P&IDs, and design calculations
• Familiarity with water quality standards and discharge norms
• Ability to analyze influent/effluent data and optimize process design
• Good communication and documentation skills

Educational Qualification

• B.E. / B.Tech in Chemical Engineering / Environmental Engineering / Civil Engineering
• M.E. / M.Tech (Preferred)

Experience

• Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in water & wastewater treatment design
• Experience with EPC projects will be an added advantage
