Job Title: Process Development Engineer
Location: New Concord, OH (Onsite)

Salary Range: $100,000 to 120,000/Year
Essential Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with chemists to guide the development of new chemical processes and translate laboratory methods into clear, executable production instructions.
- Lead scale-up activities from lab scale to pilot plant, ensuring processes are safe, efficient, and repeatable.
- Provide hands-on support when scale-up results differ from expectations, working directly with operators to troubleshoot and adjust processes.
- Assist fellow engineers with complex scale-up challenges and contribute technical expertise as needed.
- Prepare and maintain process documentation, including batch records, specifications, hazard assessments, safety review packages, air emissions information, and processing reports.
- Conduct safety meetings, oversee production execution, and review completed batch records for accuracy and compliance.
- Work collaboratively with chemistry, production, and quality teams throughout all stages of the manufacturing cycle.
- Engage with external partners such as clients, vendors, and contractors when required.
- Provide engineering support for pilot plant infrastructure, equipment, and operational improvements.
- Manage multiple priorities effectively and coordinate with supervisors to address project timelines and resource needs.
Required Education & Experience
- B.S. or M.S. in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.
- 10+ years of experience in process scale-up or manufacturing of pharmaceutical or specialty chemicals.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated success in first-time scale-up and chemical preparation.
- Experience with pilot plant and kilo-scale process equipment.
- Knowledge of process validation, cleaning validation, and equipment commissioning/qualification.
- Proven troubleshooting abilities and adaptability to changing conditions.
- Highly motivated team player with strong written and verbal communication skills.
