SUMMARY:
The Process Engineer will analyze, develop and optimize steel manufacturing processes in our Brownsville, TX facility.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform data gathering, root cause analysis and performance trending in order to develop appropriate process changes.

Analyze production data to identify inefficiencies and implement corrective measures to improve throughput, quality and yield.

Design tooling, fixtures, and process parameters to meet product specifications and minimize scrap.

Provide technical support to operators and maintenance teams during equipment breakdowns, welding issues, or material.

Lead root cause analysis for process deviations, non-conformities, or customer complaints.

Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions for all major process stages.

Participate in capital improvement projects, including equipment upgrades and automation initiatives.

Work closely with production, maintenance, and quality teams to align process improvements with operational needs.

At least three (3) years’ experience in steel manufacturing, tube production, or heavy industrial processing.

Familiarity with welding processes (ERW, MIG, TIG) coil slitting, forming mills, heat treatment, and finishing lines.

Proven track record in process optimization, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
