Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Process Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and product quality. This role requires a strong background in engineering principles, particularly in manufacturing and process engineering, along with hands-on experience in a factory environment. The Process Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Duties
- Development of production compression molds/tools and/or machines
Ø Developing solutions to production problems relating to materials, processes, and tooling.
Ø Support new programs through the development of new processes, designing molds/tooling and machinery, and developing production products and controls.
This position will start with working on the production floor developing the hand skills needed to layup/build structural seals.Develop and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste in manufacturing operations.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues in production processes and develop effective solutions.
- Utilize CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Creo for designing and modifying equipment layouts and schematics.
- Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to optimize automated processes.
- Oversee rubber molding processes, ensuring optimal performance and quality control.
- Apply lean manufacturing principles to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
- Work with CNC programming for precision machining tasks, including CAM programming.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards throughout manufacturing processes.
- Participate in the design and fabrication of tooling used in production.
- Engage in continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing product quality and reducing cycle times.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in process engineering within a manufacturing facility.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in assembly line operations.
- Familiarity with welding techniques and fabrication processes is preferred.
- Proficient in using CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo) for design work.
- Experience with industrial equipment and vision inspection systems is advantageous.
- Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles is a plus.
- Ability to analyze complex problems using analytical skills and root cause analysis techniques.
- Excellent project scheduling abilities to manage multiple initiatives effectively.

Pay: $22.00 - $42.00 per hour
