Rawafid is seeking a Senior Process Engineer specializing in General and HVAC systems to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and optimizing process systems to ensure efficient and effective HVAC operations across various projects. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop process strategies, oversee engineering activities, and ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications. Your expertise will contribute to enhancing system performance, sustainability, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities

Perform and verify process calculations, including heat and mass balance, hydraulic calculations, and pump sizing
- Support HVAC design by performing cooling load calculations for electrical rooms, MCC buildings, control rooms, and workshops, considering hot, humid, and coastal conditions (e.g., Ras Al-Khair environment)
- Design ventilation systems for chemical storage and hazardous areas
- Perform pressurization calculations for clean rooms, control rooms, and critical spaces
- Calculate utility consumption requirements, including compressed air, nitrogen, potable water, and service water systems
- Provide process engineering support for non-SWRO systems, including CIP systems, chemical storage, waste neutralization, and HVAC-related process interfaces
- Ensure HVAC and building services design compliance with SBC and ASHRAE standards
- Provide process input for datasheets and specifications of general utility equipment
Requirements-
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline

10 years of relevant experience in process engineering or HVAC design

5+ years of relevant experience in desalination or water treatment projects, covering process calculations (heat balance, mass balance, hydraulics) and HVAC load calculations for industrial facilities in hot-humid coastal environments

Must be registered and certified with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE)

Professional Engineer (PE) certification is preffered

Strong knowledge of HVAC design principles, system components, and industry standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, etc.).

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

Professional certification or membership in relevant engineering bodies is a plus.
