This position is responsible for developing efficient manufacturing processes and creating accurate cost estimates for incoming projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in multiple manufacturing operations, with a sharp eye for detail and a knack for problem-solving.
Key ResponsibilitiesProcess Engineering/Estimating-
Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for new and existing projects

Collaborate with programing, production, and quality teams to ensure manufacturability and compliance with specifications

Prepare process documentation including work instructions, routings, and control plans

Analyze customer drawings, specifications, and technical documents to determine production requirements

Be able to learn and be proficient in the cost processing software to calculate labor, materials, and overhead to develop accurate cost to the customer

Work with purchasing and production to gather current and past cost data

Prepare and present quotes and proposals to management and/or customers

Maintain and update estimates, cost, and records of historical quotes
Qualifications-
Minimum of 15 years of CNC and manual machining experience

Strong analytical and mathematical skills

Excellent communication and project management abilities

Proficiency Microsoft Office, CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.) and ERP/MRP systems

Experience in process engineering/estimating role within a manufacturing environment is a plus

Familiarity in CNC programing is a plus
