Qualification
- Diploma in Chemical Engineering / MSc in Chemistry or equivalent degree.
Experience
- 8-10 years’ relevant experience in waste management facility of which 5 years shall be in HWTC.

Duties and responsibilities
- Conduct work activities in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Follow chain of Custody Procedures.
- Responsible for smooth & safe operation.
- Implementation of safe & good storage procedure for the waste in process.
- Maintain the process documents.
- Collect the analysis data of the waste before going for landfill operation.
- Schedule & plan for landfill operation.
- Conducting the Toll box talk.
- Originating the PTW and provide the detailed work description in the permit form and seek necessary support from HSE Engineer/ Officer to identify all the hazards associated with the work and determine the required controls.
- Operate, monitor, and control equipment and machinery for waste treatment and recycling processes.
- Manage the safe collection, sorting, and processing of various waste types (hazardous, non-hazardous, liquid, and solid).
- Ensure proper segregation and storage of waste materials to prevent contamination.
- Assist in the treatment and disposal of industrial or chemical waste.
- Collecting samples after treatment and hand overing to laboratory for analysis.
- Record process data and report.
- Coordinate with Foreman to adjust process parameters to optimize efficiency and comply with environmental standards.
- Preparing the equipment / machinery as per the permit requirement and handover to the maintenance personnel for safe execution of PM/ CM.
- Follow the standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Safe handling of equipment and process to protect the environment.
- Assign Assistant Operators and helpers to carry out the field operations as per schedule.
- Inspect the work area/ equipment after completion of the work and verify that the work area/ equipment has been reinstated back to its normal safe condition before acceptance of completed work.
- HSE Accountability.
- Comply with the QatarEnergy’s Life saving rules. Sampling of the waste & waste streams.
