Process Safety Engineer (Power and desalination plant) based in Abu Dhabi)

Our client is one of the leading Energy based companies and are looking for a Process Safety Engineer to join their team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Key Responsibilities will Include:

• Collaborate with Health & Safety and Technical teams to implement process safety standards in line with Energy Institute guidelines.
• Partner with process and control engineers to maximize production output and ensure efficient facility operations.
• Conduct hazard studies, lead risk assessments, perform Bow-Tie analyses, and implement control measures for process safety.
• Integrate new technologies, assess plant simulation models, and utilize process safety software solutions for continuous improvement.
• Investigate process safety incidents, conduct compliance audits, and prepare audit reports to maintain operational safety standards.
• Build team awareness through safety training, develop SOPs, and maintain essential process safety documentation.

Who we’re looking for:

• Must have electrical or mechanical engineering degree.
• Must have 5 years of experience of relevant H&S and Environmental Legislation of UAE.
• Must have experience of Power plant process and configuration as well as Knowledge on water treatment chemistry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant technology tools.
