Qatar Energy Process Safety Engineer role in Mesaieed is a senior HSE / engineering position focused on refinery and petrochemical plant safety management.

Main Job Responsibilities

Reviewing and implementing the Process Safety Management System (PSMS)

Supporting Process Safety & Loss Prevention activities for Mesaieed operations

Conducting:

HAZOP

HAZID

SIL / LOPA studies

QRA risk assessments

Incident investigations & root-cause analysis

Participating in:

Design reviews

Safety studies for plant modifications and new projects

Shutdown and commissioning safety support

Ensuring compliance with international process safety standards and corporate HSE procedures

Advising engineering and operations teams on risk reduction and prevention measures

Required Qualifications

Typical requirements are:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Chemical / Process Safety

Minimum 10 years experience

At least 5 years specifically in Process Safety & Loss Prevention

Oil & gas / petrochemical industry background

NEBOSH or equivalent safety certification

Strong knowledge of:

API standards

CCPS guidelines

PSM systems

Risk assessment methodologies

SAP / engineering software
