Process Server Contractor

Premier Protection & Investigations is a growing firm in Knoxville, TN. We are a small team of dedicated legal services professionals who are passionate about providing results for our clients. We offer a variety of investigative services, including civil litigation, criminal defense investigations, surveillance, process serving, and more.

Job Summary:

The Process Server Contractor will be responsible for assisting the firm with serving/delivering legal documents in various counties across Tennessee. The process server will be responsible for process serving and compiling short, daily reports. The process server will also assist in coordinating with other team members and clients to provide a high level of service to our clients. This position offers flexible schedules, allowing contractors to work as much or as little as they want (think Uber for the legal industry).

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Locate Subjects/Witnesses
  • Serve legal documents
  • Maintain accurate electronic and physical case files, including handwritten notes, typed reports, discovery materials, video files, etc.
  • Maintain accurate expense reports
  • Correspond with Senior Investigator/Case Manager/Client about case updates and statuses
  • Other miscellaneous tasks as required

Education and Experience:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • US Citizen or legal resident
  • Previous investigation, process service, law enforcement, or paralegal experience preferred
  • High School diploma or higher
  • Required to hold a valid driver's license
  • Required to carry automobile insurance

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $24.50 - $45.00 per hour
