Processing Operator - Second Shift

WEEKEND SHIFT: Monday-Wednesday 5:30pm-6:00am - Some OT required
Position Purpose:
The Processing Operators are responsible for blending and distillation operations for custom alcoholic beverages as well as monitoring and maintaining testing and warehouse equipment. This person will unload the liquid product from tankers, barrels, and holding tanks, blend ingredients based on client requests, filter, distill, and test the final product for alcohol proofing. The position requires the use of various types of chillers and filtration systems, forklifts, and other mechanical systems as well as alcohol proofing and testing equipment.
Core Responsibilities
Unload liquid products from tankers, barrels, and holding tanks
Filtering products using the appropriate filtration system
Blend liquid materials to meet the designated specifications
Perform mathematical calculations to identify the test for proper proofing
Follow TTB proofing regulations
Monitor equipment, distill and test liquids for water quality, filtration and appropriate alcohol levels
Clean tanks of various sizes and ensure proper sanitary conditions
Prepare, proof, package, and label client samples
Complete documentation to record all activities and track product through the processing area
Provide clear communication with the bottling area and production line
Adhere to Strong Spirits Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)
Perform other duties as assigned by the processing and warehouse supervisor or other management personnel
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent education required
Experience working with blending, distilling, and proofing preferred
Mechanically inclined, able to operate pumps, motors, valves, chillers, filter equipment, hand tools, and other warehouse equipment
Math skills
Attention to detail
Self-motivated with strong initiative
Strong organizational skills
Adaptable and able to deal with change quickly
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
Able to work Monday through Thursday for a ten hour shift.
Fast paced office, warehouse and industrial environment.
Exposure to hazardous materials such as alcohol and chemicals, loud noise, and moderate heat/cold.
Essential physical requirements, such as frequent climbing, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching and lifting, occasionally above shoulders.
Physical effort/lifting up to 50 pounds.
Some overtime required.
Able to stand and walk all day with minimal breaks.
Able to lift, carry and pull 20 pounds or less.
Able to kneel, squat, bend, and climb.
Able to work around alcohol and other flammable liquids.
Able to visually inspect products.
