Processing Coordinator

The ReStore mission is to generate revenue through the sale of donated building materials and household items to support HFH-NFV. Through its efforts, the ReStore facilitates recycling, minimizes landfill waste, provides low-cost home improvement items, and increases Habitat's visibility in our community.

Ensures donated items are appropriately priced, processed and placed on the sales floor in a timely matter.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensures all pallets from front receiving and back area are routed to the correct departments for sorting. Communicates regularly with Receiving Coordinator to resolve any issues that arise.
• Communicates with ReStore Manager and Warehouse Supervisor on a daily basis to help determine how to prepare for incoming donations.
• Assists with overseeing volunteers though out the day making sure they stay on task. Reports any issues to ReStore Managers.
• Ensures consistency with pricing. Follows established price guidelines ( EX: up to 50% off retail for new items bearing in mind volume) Looks up items on computer (or oversees volunteers) to ascertain accurate price.
• Responsibility for price guns. Makes sure they are appropriately checked out and put away. If leaving early communicates with ReStore Managers on where and whom has the guns and for what purpose.
• Facilitate a positive, team-oriented environment
• Is knowledgeable about other departments and may cover as needed
• Provides excellent customer service when dealing with the public both in Receiving and on the sales floor.

Reporting and Communications

• Reports problem volunteers to Volunteer Coordinator. Works with Volunteer Coordinator to correct issues. If things worsen, issue must be brought to the attention of ReStore Manager.
• Conflicts with volunteers centered around product pricing, merchandising etc, that aren’t able to be resolved, the ReStore Managers may need to be informed and make ultimate decision.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Good people skills, ability to relate to and communicate well with customers
• Promote and maintain a safe working environment
• Stand and walk for up to 5 hours (with periodic breaks)
• Must be able to kneel and bend
• Ability to lift up to 50
• Knowledge of building materials or the willingness to learn

Pay: $17.00 per hour
