We are partnering with a trusted industry leader that manufactures high-quality construction, landscaping, and agricultural machine attachments known for performance, reliability, and fast fulfillment. They are seeking a Procurement Analyst to support product sourcing initiatives by researching and qualifying fabrication suppliers, managing RFQs, and partnering closely with product development and supply chain leadership. This role focuses on diversifying the supply base, negotiating cost and lead times, developing contingency plans to prevent stockouts, and conducting supplier evaluations—including on-site visits—to ensure quality, capacity, and long-term availability of core products.
SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS
The Procurement Analyst’s primary responsibility is to research available fabrication suppliers, diversifying the supply chain and developing contingency plans to address long lead times and ensure product availability for core products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work with Product Development to conduct market research and identify alternate suppliers
• Schedule weekly meetings with Chief Operating Officer and Supply Chain Manager to prioritize business needs
• Execute assigned KPIs, consisting of weekly new quotes generated, NDA’s received, vendor site visits, new supplier spend and new qualified vendors
• Manage RFQ process to develop relationships with competitive suppliers
• Assess quote feedback to discuss cost or engineering challenges with product development team
• Develop contingency plans to minimize the risk of stock outs, reduce lead times and ensure adequate product availability to meet customer forecasted demand and market growth
• Conduct market research through the use of the internet and traveling on-site to prospective vendors to determine the efficiency and effectiveness of their production processes, open capacity, operational qualifications (ISO status), quality, and lead times
• Identify new vendors, develop KPI’s (consisting of quality, on-time delivery, etc.), and work with engineers to ensure technical details (engineer design drawings) are understood in initial quoting and vendor assessment
• Engage in price negotiations, discuss competitive moq’s and delivery schedules with suppliers
• Communicate product quality expectations, and discuss areas of quality improvement with potential suppliers
• Review and understand engineered drawings to use as a reference during initial conversations with potential suppliers
• Generate quote comparisons and contribute to internal supplier selection based on cost, lead-time, and quality
• Work with management to address ad hoc requests for market research
Actively engage in product development processes to help facilitate a balanced workload
• Travel up to 35-50% of the time to vendor sites to ensure an effective supply chain that supports company growth objectives and core products

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
This position will regularly travel overnight to visit vendors.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
This position reports to the Supply Chain Manager and works closely with Engineering and Product Development.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Four-year college degree or two-year Technical degree preferred but may be waived based on related job experience.
• Two (2) to four (4) years of progressive and relevant work experience in supply chain preferred.
• Employee must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record to operate company vehicles.
LANGUAGE ABILITY
Effectively communicate in both oral and written form with suppliers, management, other employees both individually and in front of a group. Strong interpersonal communication skills with great phone presence.
COMPUTER AND OFFICE SKILLS
Proven experience with PC platforms and knowledge of office programs to include, but not limited to, email, spreadsheets, word processing, and presentation software. Experience with Salesforce or another CRM required.
PERSONAL SKILLS
Interface with employees, vendors, and management. Good time management skills, ability to prioritize duties, ability to multi-task, and a concentrated attention level. Highly flexible, adaptable, and resourceful. Keen sense of customer urgency is required as well as excellent customer support. Regular and predictable attendance. Ability to get along with others.

The employee will regularly drive, talk; hear; grasp; push; stand; walk; reach with their hands/arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl; be subject to repetitive wrist, hand and/or finger movement; operate mechanical equipment; and move up and down from/to a sitting position to the floor. Employee must be able to respond quickly to sounds and see and respond to hazardous conditions. Visual activities include clarity of vision at twenty (20) feet or more, clarity of vision at twenty (20) inches or less, and three-dimensional vision. Able to judge distance and space relationships. The employee will regularly lift to thirty (30) pounds. Occasionally the employee will lift to fifty (50) pounds.
WORK CONDITIONS
The employee will regularly travel to visit vendors and may be exposed varying manufacturing facility conditions and exposed to moderate noise. The employee may spend time in varying, inclement outdoor weather conditions and be exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
