The Procurement Analyst is responsible for supporting sourcing events by managing large datasets related to market data, spend data, and material/service specifications. This role works cross-functionally with procurement teams to ensure that data is accurate and actionable in support of sourcing category work in Indirect Procurement. The Analyst will assist in identifying cost-reduction opportunities, managing supplier relationships, and maintaining procurement data dashboards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the Procurement Category Manager in Various Tasks:
- Manage data collection from internal spend systems and external suppliers, ensuring data is normalized and summarized for actionable insights.
- Identify and pursue cost-reduction opportunities by analyzing spend data, material specifications, market benchmarking, and should-cost analysis.
- Develop and execute RFXs (Request for Proposals, Quotes, or Information), including supplier identification, specification population, and pricing workbook preparation.
- Conduct post-event analysis by extracting data from Ariba Sourcing, including pricing, RFX questionnaire scoring, and award assessments.
- Build and maintain spend dashboards and reports to track procurement activities.
- Manage RFX timelines to ensure timely completion and that business needs are met.
- Facilitate NDAs (Non-Disclosure Agreements) ahead of sourcing events.
- Coordinate with suppliers before and during sourcing events.
- Assist in resolving supplier-related invoice and delivery issues.
Other Necessary Functions:
- Participate in company committees focused on process improvement and cross-functional interactions.
- Follow company policies, procedures, ergonomic standards, and safety requirements.
- Perform additional duties as requested by management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Digital aptitude with experience in systems such as Ariba, Snowflake, Beeline, SAP, IBM Cognos, Celonis, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Proficient in MS Excel.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Ability to collaborate with multiple departments to assess and interpret business needs.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills (both quantitative and qualitative).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- English language proficiency (both written and verbal).
