Are you the planner who keeps production flowing?

Do you enjoy turning complex demand signals into crisp purchase actions? Can you coach suppliers through change, prevent shortages before they happen, and find cost savings daily? If yes, you might be the Procurement and Inventory Optimization Analyst we need at Haws.

Your challenges

  • Can you convert MRP outputs into right-sized, on-time buys that hit production dates and inventory targets?
  • Will you drive Workbench order material cost savings and ensure delivery schedules keep product available?
  • How will you balance safety stocks and EOQs to protect service while avoiding excess and obsolescence?
  • Could you maintain planning parameters/master data so plans reflect actual supply capability?
  • Are you ready to publish clear-to-build, coverage, and run-out reports—and run what-if scenarios to support decisions?
  • Will you lead the Vendor Request process (painting, galvanization) and onboard/train new suppliers on Haws standards?
  • Can you coordinate supplier ramps for new launches and manage engineering changes without disrupting supply?
  • Will you partner with IT and stakeholders to improve tools and planning processes?
  • Can you consolidate logistics to meet cost-savings goals?
  • Are you comfortable executing daily buys in Workbench/Buysheet/Buycard, issuing POs, and securing confirmations?
  • Could you own shortage reporting for priority sales orders, align with CS/Production Planning, and direct buyers accordingly?
  • Will you manage the open PO report, prioritize by top models, and drive follow-ups with buyers?
  • Can you build a forward-looking tool to forecast and avoid part shortages?
  • Will you champion SLOB reviews and partner with Engineering to reduce slow/obsolete inventory?

What you’ll need to excel

  • Advanced Excel; strong MRP/ERP knowledge in discrete manufacturing (BOMs, PLM, procure-to-pay, operations).
  • Excellent analytical chops and problem-solving; comfortable presenting data-driven recommendations.
  • Supplier operations and relationship management experience.
  • High-energy, collaborative, and diplomatic; able to influence across Haws and our supplier network.
  • Clear, persuasive written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work independently across multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting; flexible and adaptable.
  • Detail-oriented and organized. Culturally Compatible and Good Attitude is a MUST!

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or related.
  • 3+ years in manufacturing, finance, or supply chain management—or equivalent education/training/experience.
  • Language Skills: Exceptional command of English.
  • Reasoning Ability: Strong critical thinking skills.

Environment & tools

Office environment. Onsite work and activities are required. Flexible work environment. Regular, reliable, predictable performance is needed.

Tools: ERP/MRP software (primary), plus advanced Excel.

Physical requirements

  • Frequent sitting; computer work up to 8 hours per day.
  • Frequent standing and walking.
  • Lift 10 lbs frequently; up to 25 lbs occasionally.
  • Manual dexterity for handling/feeling; occasional reaching; ability to talk and hear.
  • Vision needs include near/far acuity, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
