Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Sourcing

• Purchase fresh fruits and vegetables daily from APMC Pune mandi as per demand plans.
• Identify reliable commission agents, farmers, traders, and suppliers.
• Ensure best quality produce at optimal prices through effective negotiation.

Quality & Grading

• Assess produce quality, freshness, size, maturity, and defects at the mandi.
• Ensure buying strictly as per Mulyam Agronomics quality standards.
• Coordinate with QC and warehouse teams for grading feedback and rejection handling.

Pricing & Market Intelligence

• Track daily mandi prices, arrivals, demand-supply trends, and seasonal variations.
• Share real-time price and market insights with the procurement and planning teams.
• Support management in price forecasting and sourcing strategies.

Quantity Planning & Coordination

• Purchase quantities as per sales forecasts and dispatch plans.
• Coordinate with logistics for timely vehicle loading and dispatch to collection/distribution centers.
• Minimize shortages, excess procurement, and wastage.

Documentation & Compliance

• Ensure proper billing, receipts, gate passes, and APMC compliance documents.
• Maintain daily purchase records, rates, quantities, and supplier details.

Relationship Management

• Build and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers and agents.
• Resolve quality, quantity, or rate disputes at the mandi level.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of APMC Pune mandi operations.
• Deep understanding of fruits and vegetables quality parameters.
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Ability to work early morning hours.
• Basic record-keeping and reporting skills (manual or digital).
• High integrity, accountability, and field-oriented mindset.

Eligibility Criteria

• Minimum 3–5 years of proven experience as a mandi buyer or procurement executive for fruits and vegetables.
• Prior experience in APMC Pune or similar large mandis preferred.
• Education: Minimum 10+2; diploma/graduate preferred.

Willingness to work flexible hours as per mandi operations

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
