Job Summary

The Procurement Assistant & Inventory Controller supports purchasing operations while maintaining accurate inventory records and stock levels. This role ensures timely procurement of materials, cost efficiency, and effective inventory control to support uninterrupted production and operations.

Procurement Functions

  • Assist in sourcing suppliers, obtaining quotations, and comparing prices and specifications for particular material defined by Procurement department.
  • Prepare and process minor purchase order aligned with procurement supervisor guidance.
  • Follow up with suppliers on order status, delivery schedules, and discrepancies.
  • Maintain supplier records and documentation (price lists, approvals, material DN).
  • Coordinate with internal departments (production, installation) to understand material requirements.
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials to avoid production delays.
  • Support negotiation efforts for pricing, terms, and delivery conditions.

Inventory Control Functions

  • Monitor stock levels and maintain optimal inventory (avoid shortages and overstocking).
  • Record all stock movements (receiving, issuing, transfers) accurately in the system.
  • Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Maintain inventory reports (stock balance, consumption, slow-moving items).
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of materials in coordination with warehouse team.
  • Track minimum and maximum stock levels and initiate replenishment requests.
  • Identify and report obsolete or damaged stock.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2 years of experience in procurement and/or inventory control (Fit out and joinery background).
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Odoo).
  • Good knowledge of inventory management principles.
  • Good negotiation and communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
