Procurement Assistant Manager
is expected to work in the Procurement Department of Arkas Holding Port and Terminal Services Group located at Marport Terminal Operators in Beylikduzu/Istanbul.
QUALIFICATIONS:

University graduate preferably in faculty of Engineering, or Business Administration

Excellent verbal and written skills in English
-
Advanced level of MS Office Programs is required

Experience with SAP-SRM/MM module
-
Minimum 7 years of experience in procurement, preferably with knowledge of construction and technical purchasing
-
Experience in construction investment projects and construction tender processes is highly preferred
-
Class B driver’s license
-
Preferred to be mobile
-
Completed military obligation for male candidates
JOB DESCRIPTION:

Organize demands of customers in accordance with the company’s procurement procedures

Lead the sourcing activities for various spend categories, mainly investments/project procurement category

Lead projects efficiently and within the defined budget and timeline

Manage and develop procurement timelines and coordinate cross-functional resources

Research alternative suppliers through meetings and field visits
-
Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with suppliers to achieve cost savings and ensure quality

Monitor supplier performance and report any issues or discrepancies
-
Manage and monitor purchasing performance in accordance with company policies and guidelines
-
Manage supplier relationships efficiently and in line with the category strategy
-
Lead and organize meetings with stakeholders to follow up on issues and explore new opportunities for process improvement
