Procurement Assistant Manager

Istanbul, Turkey

Procurement Assistant Manager is expected to work in the Procurement Department of Arkas Holding Port and Terminal Services Group located at Marport Terminal Operators in Beylikduzu/Istanbul.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • University graduate preferably in faculty of Engineering, or Business Administration
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in English
  • Advanced level of MS Office Programs is required
  • Experience with SAP-SRM/MM module
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in procurement, preferably with knowledge of construction and technical purchasing
  • Experience in construction investment projects and construction tender processes is highly preferred
  • Class B driver’s license
  • Preferred to be mobile
  • Completed military obligation for male candidates


JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Organize demands of customers in accordance with the company’s procurement procedures
  • Lead the sourcing activities for various spend categories, mainly investments/project procurement category
  • Lead projects efficiently and within the defined budget and timeline
  • Manage and develop procurement timelines and coordinate cross-functional resources
  • Research alternative suppliers through meetings and field visits
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with suppliers to achieve cost savings and ensure quality
  • Monitor supplier performance and report any issues or discrepancies
  • Manage and monitor purchasing performance in accordance with company policies and guidelines
  • Manage supplier relationships efficiently and in line with the category strategy
  • Lead and organize meetings with stakeholders to follow up on issues and explore new opportunities for process improvement
