The Procurement Engineer/Coordinator is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and procuring components, materials, and services required to support operations, maintenance, and production activities for transportation systems and heavy equipment machinery. This role ensures cost‐effective purchasing, supplier quality, and compliance with technical specifications while maintaining strong supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Sourcing

  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and structural components used in heavy machinery and transportation equipment.
  • Issue RFQs, analyze quotations, and conduct cost and technical evaluations.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, and delivery schedules to achieve cost savings.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to support production plans and minimize downtime.

Technical Support

  • Review engineering drawings, BOMs, and specifications to ensure accurate procurement of required parts.
  • Work closely with engineering and maintenance teams to clarify technical requirements.
  • Ensure all purchased items meet industry standards, quality requirements, and safety regulations.
  • Support engineering changes and product development by coordinating with suppliers.

Supplier Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers.
  • Monitor supplier performance including quality, delivery reliability, and responsiveness.
  • Conduct supplier audits, risk assessments, and capability evaluations.
  • Resolve supplier-related issues such as delays, defects, and non-conformities.

Logistics & Coordination

  • Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and proper documentation for imported machinery components.
  • Monitor inventory levels and support stock optimization initiatives.
  • Address any supply chain disruptions and propose corrective actions.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, contractual obligations, and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records, contract documentation, and supplier databases.
  • Prepare periodic procurement reports, cost analyses, and savings tracking.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of procurement experience in transportation, heavy equipment machinery, construction equipment, or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulic components, engines, chassis, and industrial spare parts.
  • Experience working with engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Experience working on ADNOC projects, with ADNOC procurement processes, or with ADNOC-approved vendors

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
