Civil & Structural Procurement
In-depth understanding of construction materials — cement, steel, aggregates, sand, AAC blocks, ready-mix concrete (RMC), reinforcement, waterproofing systems, and finishes.
PEB System Procurement Knowledge of PEB components (primary & secondary members, roofing sheets, bolts, anchor fasteners), vendor evaluation, and erection sequencing.
Infrastructure Works Experience procuring materials & services for asphalt roads, storm-water drains, culverts, paving, kerbing, and peripheral development.
Building Works Expertise in procurement for multi-storey RCC & masonry structures, including AAC block systems, plaster, joinery, and finishing materials.
Water & Utility Systems Familiarity with civil-mechanical procurement for Water Treatment Plants (WTP), Overhead Storage Tanks (OHST), underground sumps, and pipelines (DI/HDPE/MS).
Equipment & Plant Hire Ability to source heavy construction machinery, formwork systems, scaffolding, cranes, batching plants, and bitumen plants at optimum rates.
- Procurement & Commercial Competence
- Preparation and management of Procurement Execution Plans (PEP) and Material Procurement Schedules aligned to project timelines.
- Preparation of RFQs / enquiry documents, technical and commercial bid evaluations, and vendor comparisons.
- Proficient in rate analysis, budget tracking, and variance reporting against BOQ and cost control sheets.
- Strong negotiation and contract finalization skills — including payment terms, delivery schedules, and LD/penalty clauses.
- Understanding of EPC / item-rate contract structures, and MMRDA / MIDC / MSME cluster procurement norms.
- Vendor performance tracking via measurable KPIs (price, quality, delivery, service).
- Coordination & Interface Skills
- Close coordination with Design, Planning, Quality, and Construction teams to align procurement with site progress and engineering releases.
- Interaction with PEB vendors, AAC block manufacturers, road contractors, and WTP suppliers to ensure synchronized delivery.
- Liaison with Finance and Stores for invoice verification, GRN reconciliation, and inventory management.
- Coordination with logistics partners for scheduling and monitoring movement of bulk materials to site.
- Quality, Documentation & Compliance
- Verification of technical submittals, inspection reports, and mill test certificates before acceptance.
- Adherence to IS Codes / BIS standards, project specifications, and third-party inspection requirements.
- Maintenance of vendor databases, PO logs, delivery trackers, and audit-ready documentation.
- Awareness of environmental and safety norms for material storage and transportation.
- Software & Digital Proficiency
- Planning Interface: MS Project for delivery tracking
- Documentation: AutoCAD (for referencing BOQ drawings), MS Office Suite, Google Sheets for dashboards
- Behavioral & Managerial Attributes

- Ability to travel and work (If required) independently at a remote site under project-based timelines.

- Educational & Professional Background
- Minimum qualification Diploma in civil Engineering
- Minimum experience of 3 to 5 years as handling procurement department
- Knowledge of all kind of building materials as well structural steel, flexible and rigid road pavement part related materials
