The Procurement Engineer (Civil) is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, negotiating, and purchasing civil engineering materials, equipment, and subcontracting services required for construction and infrastructure projects. This role ensures cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality, technical compliance, and timely delivery to support smooth project execution.

Key Responsibilities

1. Procurement & Sourcing

  • Identify, evaluate, and prequalify suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors for civil works and materials.
  • Prepare RFQs (Request for Quotations), RFPs (Request for Proposals), and tender documents.
  • Obtain, analyze, and compare quotations, ensuring technical and commercial compliance.
  • Conduct negotiations to secure optimal pricing, delivery terms, and payment conditions.

2. Technical Evaluation

  • Review and interpret civil engineering drawings, BOQs, specifications, and project requirements.
  • Coordinate with engineering and site teams to ensure procurement items meet technical standards.
  • Conduct technical bid evaluations (TBE) and prepare comparative statements.

3. Vendor Management

  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with local and international suppliers.
  • Monitor supplier performance, quality, and delivery schedules.
  • Resolve supplier-related issues and ensure corrective actions.

4. Purchase Order & Contract Management

  • Prepare purchase orders, agreements, and subcontract documents.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality requirements, and contractual obligations.
  • Track order status and ensure timely delivery to project sites.

5. Cost Control & Reporting

  • Support cost estimation, budgeting, and value engineering activities.
  • Maintain and update procurement logs, tracking sheets, and material delivery schedules.
  • Provide regular procurement status reports to management and project teams.

6. Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure alignment with ISO standards, procurement guidelines, and audit requirements.
  • Maintain proper documentation for quotations, technical assessments, approvals, and contracts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • 5-7 years of procurement experience

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
