Procurement Engineer- Civil

Job Summary

Responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing civil construction materials, equipment, and subcontracted services at competitive prices while ensuring quality, timely delivery, and compliance with project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Review project BOQs, drawings, and specifications to identify material requirements.

Source qualified suppliers for civil materials (e.g., concrete, aggregates, rebar, formwork, blocks, cement, chemicals).

Prepare RFQs, compare quotations, evaluate technical/commercial offers, and issue purchase orders.

Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, payment terms, and long-term supply agreements.

Coordinate with engineering, planning, and site teams for required materials and delivery schedules.

Monitor supplier performance, quality issues, and delivery delays; implement corrective actions.

Maintain procurement logs, vendor database, and cost control records.

Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and project quality standards.

Support subcontractor selection, pre-qualification, and contract documentation.

Track market prices, material availability, and vendor innovations.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or relevant field.

5 years UAE/Gulf experience in procurement for construction or infrastructure projects in

Strong knowledge of civil construction materials and suppliers.

Good negotiation, commercial analysis, and communication skills.

Proficiency in MS Office, ERP/SAP systems preferred.
