Procurement Engineer – Construction

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Engineer with strong UAE construction background. The candidate will be responsible for material procurement, vendor coordination, cost control, and close coordination between procurement and project teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate between project team and procurement department for material requirements
• Review project specifications, BOQ, and drawings before procurement
• Source and evaluate suppliers and subcontractors
• Obtain quotations, negotiate pricing, and prepare comparative statements
• Issue purchase orders and follow up on deliveries
• Ensure materials meet project specifications and authority requirements
• Track material approvals and coordinate with technical team
• Monitor procurement schedules in line with project timelines
• Maintain vendor database and performance evaluation records
• Support cost control and budget monitoring
• Handle subcontractor documentation and agreements

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• 4–8 years UAE experience in construction procurement
• Strong knowledge of construction materials and local suppliers
• Experience in BOQ review and quantity verification
• Good negotiation and communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems
• Immediate joiners preferred
