Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Engineer with strong background in construction and infrastructure projects. The candidate will be responsible for managing procurement activities, sourcing materials, vendor evaluation, negotiation, purchase order management, and ensuring timely delivery of materials for project execution in Dubai and Ethiopia projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and procure construction materials, equipment, and services as per project requirements
• Prepare purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and procurement documentation
• Evaluate suppliers, subcontractors, and negotiate prices and terms
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site teams for material requirements
• Monitor delivery schedules and ensure timely procurement of materials
• Maintain and update approved vendor lists
• Compare quotations and prepare cost analysis reports
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and project specifications
• Track material consumption and support cost control activities
• Handle logistics coordination for international project supply (Dubai to Ethiopia)
• Resolve supply chain issues and ensure smooth project execution

Skills & Competencies Required

• Strong knowledge of construction procurement and supply chain management
• Experience in infrastructure/building materials sourcing
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
• Ability to interpret project specifications and BOQ requirements
• Good understanding of international procurement and logistics
• Proficiency in MS Excel and procurement systems
• Strong communication and coordination skills

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Supply Chain Management
• 5–7 years of experience as Procurement Engineer in construction projects
• UAE or GCC construction project experience preferred
• Experience in infrastructure or overseas projects (Ethiopia/Africa projects) is an advantage
