Procurement Engineer – MEP (Data Center / Mission Critical Projects)

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Engineer – MEP with 4–5 years of UAE experience, specifically in Data Center and mission-critical projects. The ideal candidate must have a Mechanical Engineering background and strong experience in sourcing, procurement, vendor management, and cost control for complex MEP systems used in high-reliability environments.

The role requires strong technical understanding of mechanical systems, HVAC, piping, chilled water systems, and data center infrastructure, along with excellent procurement and negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement of MEP materials and equipment for data center and mission-critical projects.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with local and international suppliers and manufacturers.
• Prepare and issue RFQs, technical/commercial bid evaluations, and comparative statements.
• Coordinate closely with design, engineering, and project teams to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Procure mechanical systems including:
• HVAC systems
• Chillers and pumps
• CRAC/CRAH units
• Chilled water systems
• Piping and valves
• Firefighting systems
• Ensure timely procurement of materials as per project schedule and site requirements.
• Monitor vendor performance, lead times, and delivery schedules.
• Maintain procurement records, purchase orders, and supplier databases.
• Evaluate technical submittals in coordination with engineering teams.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality and compliance.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and project requirements.
• Coordinate logistics, delivery tracking, and material inspections.
• Support project teams in resolving procurement-related issues on site.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (mandatory).
• 4–5 years UAE experience in MEP procurement.
• Strong experience in Data Center or mission-critical projects (mandatory).
• Good knowledge of HVAC, chilled water, and mechanical systems.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes and vendor management.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and ERP systems.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with EPC contractors or MEP contractors in UAE.
• Exposure to high-value, fast-track projects such as data centers, hospitals, or industrial facilities.
• Knowledge of international mechanical equipment brands and suppliers.
• UAE driving license preferred.

Pay: AED10,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per month
