Designation: Executive-Procurement

Location: Chennai
Language : English, Hindi is mandatory.

Reports to: Team Lead

Candidate Profile:

  • 0-2 years of experience in purchasing/ procurement department of Engineering based Companies or B2B Trading companies or B2B Marketplaces
  • BE (Non-IT) Qualification would an added advantage
  • Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, valuating or liaising with vendors) and has an understanding of supply chain procedures
  • Hands-on experience with purchasing software would be an added advantage
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to help create constructive relationships with vendors
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects at one time. The ability to plan, delegate and evaluate progress toward goals is necessary for managing these projects
  • Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create cost analyses (added advantage)
  • Must be able to work under minimum supervision, independently, dynamic and fast-paced environment and meet critical deadlines
  • Able to control purchase requisition, purchase orders and other relevant documents
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills

Job Overview:

The Procurement Executive will assist the Procurement Team Lead in the Client’s Procurement activities. This includes evaluating vendors, and preparing reports (e.g. on orders and costs). Their main duties include locating key suppliers, preparing reports, evaluating vendors, and making sure their materials and products meet the Client’s specifications. The incumbent should have good knowledge or market research, along with solid analytical skills to make sure they are identifying the most profitable offers.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Research potential vendors
  • Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers
  • Track orders and ensure timely delivery
  • Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases
  • Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices
  • Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses
  • Monitor stock levels of Vendors and place orders as needed
  • Coordinate with Vendors to ensure proper storage
  • Handle claims and rejection settlement
  • Confer with suppliers to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services and determine corrective action
  • Respond to internal customers and suppliers inquiries about orders status, changes or cancellations
  • Process purchase requisitions/ orders within purchasing authority

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
