- Supplier management: Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers, while also managing and maintaining strong relationships with existing vendors.
- Negotiation and contracting: Negotiate contract terms, prices, and payment methods with suppliers to secure the best value for the organization.
- Procurement strategy: Develop and implement strategies to meet business objectives, including cost-saving initiatives and long-term procurement plans.
- Purchasing and logistics: Oversee the end-to-end purchasing process, coordinate timely delivery of materials, and monitor inventory levels to maintain optimal stock.
- Compliance and reporting: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and regulations, and prepare reports on market conditions, supplier performance, and procurement activities.
- Collaboration: Work with other departments, such as finance and sales, to align procurement with overall business goals and support payment processes.
- Quality control: Ensure that purchased goods and services meet the required quality standards.
