Job Summary: Responsible for supporting the end-to-end procurement process of construction materials, equipment, and services, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing in line with project requirements. The role involves vendor coordination, preparation of purchase documentation, follow-up on deliveries, and maintaining accurate procurement records. The Procurement Executive works closely with project teams, site engineers, and the procurement management team to ensure smooth material flow and operational continuity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparation of procurement plans and schedules according to project requirements.
- Issue RFQs and request quotations from approved vendors for materials, equipment, and services.
- Evaluate vendor quotations based on price, quality, lead time, and technical specifications, and submit recommendations for approval.
- Prepare purchase orders, contracts, and related procurement documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Follow up with suppliers for timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services, coordinating closely with site teams.
- Monitor and track deliveries, maintaining records of received and pending items.
- Ensure proper documentation of supplier agreements, approvals, and correspondence for reporting and auditing purposes.
- Coordinate with project teams and site engineers to anticipate material requirements and avoid delays.
- Assist in monitoring procurement budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and reporting variances to management.
- Maintain vendor database and assist in vendor evaluation and performance tracking.
- Verify quality, quantity, and specifications of delivered materials and escalate discrepancies to the Procurement Manager.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, UAE laws, and HSE standards in all procurement activities.
- Support the procurement team in continuous improvement of processes, workflows, and reporting mechanisms.
- Assist in preparing reports on procurement status, pending deliveries, and vendor performance for management review.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Supply Chain, or Masters in Business.
- 10 or more years of experience in procurement within the UAE construction industry, with at least 2 years in a team leading role.
