Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Executive with a specialized background in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems within the construction industry. The role involves managing the end-to-end procurement process for MEP materials and equipment, ensuring the timely delivery of quality products at optimal costs, and building strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to support large-scale construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement Planning & Strategy:

· Develop procurement strategies tailored to MEP requirements, balancing cost, quality, and delivery timelines.

· Collaborate with project managers, site engineers, and design teams to understand project specifications, schedules, and technical requirements.

· Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and innovations in MEP systems.

Supplier Sourcing & Evaluation:

· Identify, evaluate, and pre-qualify suppliers based on their capabilities, certifications, past performance, and compliance standards.

· Issue RFQs/RFPs to potential vendors and solicit competitive quotations.

· Analyze quotations and technical proposals to select the most suitable suppliers.

Negotiation & Contracting:

· Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contractual terms to achieve cost savings and risk mitigation.

· Prepare and review purchase agreements, ensuring clarity on scope, specifications, and compliance requirements.

· Coordinate with legal and finance teams for contract finalization and approvals.

Order Placement & Follow-up:

· Issue purchase orders and ensure all procurement documentation is accurate and complete.

· Track and monitor order progress, expediting shipments and resolving any delays or issues proactively.

· Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams for the receipt and inspection of materials.

Quality Assurance & Compliance:

· Verify that all procured materials meet technical specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

· Conduct supplier audits and quality assessments as needed.

· Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and environmental regulations.

Cost Control & Budget Management:

· Monitor procurement budgets and control costs through effective negotiation and supplier management.

· Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, costs, and supplier performance for reporting and analysis.

Documentation & Reporting:

· Maintain comprehensive procurement documentation, including contracts, purchase orders, delivery notes, and inspection reports.

· Prepare regular reports on procurement status, cost analysis, and supplier performance metrics for management review.

Qualifications & Skills:

· Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or related technical field.

· Minimum [6-7] years of experience in procurement within the construction industry, specifically handling MEP systems.

· Strong knowledge of MEP materials, equipment, and installation processes.

· Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project plans.

· Proficient in MS Office Suite, ERP, and procurement management software.

· Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

· Problem-solving attitude and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Professional certifications such as CPSM, CPIM, or PMP are a plus.

· Experience working on large-scale commercial or industrial construction projects.

· Familiarity with local procurement regulations and standards.

Work Environment & Other Details:

· Field visits to construction sites and supplier locations as needed.

· Collaboration across multiple teams and stakeholders.

· Dynamic environment requiring adaptability and proactive decision-making.

· Ability to work in construction environments, sometimes in challenging conditions.

· Flexibility to work extended hours to meet project deadlines.
