Key Responsibilities
1.Sourcing & Vendor Management
- Identify and evaluate suppliers/manufacturers of APIs (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients), excipients, packaging materials, or finished formulations.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms with vendors.
- Maintain supplier relationships and assess vendor performance.
2.Procurement Planning
- Forecast demand based on production schedules and sales projections.
- Prepare and manage purchase orders.
- Ensure timely availability of required materials to avoid production delays.
3.Cost Optimization
- Negotiate best prices and payment terms without compromising quality.
- Implement cost-reduction initiatives through alternate sourcing and bulk purchasing.

4.Quality & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure all procured materials meet GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and quality standards.
- Verify that suppliers comply with regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, CDSCO, WHO, EU-GMP).
- Maintain proper documentation and certificates (COA, MSDS, DMF, etc.).
5.Inventory & Logistics Coordination
- Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams for timely receipt and storage.
- Track shipments and resolve supply chain bottlenecks.
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder points.

6.Data Management & Reporting
- Maintain procurement records, supplier databases, and purchase documentation.
- Prepare regular reports on purchase spend, supplier performance, and cost savings.
