Job Overview

We are looking for a Procurement Executive for our Solar Division who will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, components, and services required for solar projects. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of solar components and vendors, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to manage procurement operations efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors and suppliers for solar panels, inverters, structures, cables, BOS materials, and other project-related items.
• Request and evaluate quotations from vendors and prepare comparison sheets for management approval.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules to ensure cost efficiency and timely procurement.
• Coordinate with project, design, and logistics teams to ensure materials meet technical specifications and project timelines.
• Prepare purchase orders and maintain proper procurement documentation and records.
• Track purchase orders, delivery schedules, and vendor performance.
• Develop and maintain vendor relationships to ensure consistent quality and service.
• Maintain material inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
• Support project cost estimation and budgeting by providing accurate procurement inputs.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and quality standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in procurement or purchase, preferably in the solar industry.
• Strong knowledge of solar project components (modules, inverters, mounting structures, cables, etc.).
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Google Sheets, and ERP tools.
• Attention to detail and strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in EPC or solar installation companies.
• Familiarity with import procedures, vendor sourcing, and logistics management.
• Knowledge of GST, purchase documentation, and contract terms.
