Procurement Manager
This role is responsible for leading procurement activities across various spending categories. The position focuses on developing category strategies, managing supplier and stakeholder relationships, and achieving cost savings while maintaining quality and compliance.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Category Strategy: Create and implement strategies based on market trends, supplier capabilities, and cost-saving goals. Define KPIs and long-term plans for each category.
- Sourcing & Supplier Management:Lead RFP/RFQ processes, assess suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage onboarding and ongoing supplier performance.
- Procurement Operations:Collaborate with internal teams to align procurement with business needs. Support budgeting, monitor compliance, and manage documentation and performance issues.
- Financial Analysis & Reporting:Conduct spend analysis, track savings, benchmark costs, and support financial reporting.
- Risk Management & Compliance:Evaluate supplier risks, ensure regulatory and policy compliance, and maintain continuity plans for critical suppliers.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field
- 3–5 years of sourcing/procurement experience with category management exposure
- Strong skills in data analysis, contract negotiation, and stakeholder communication
- Familiarity with procurement systems (SAP, Oracle, Ariba) and Excel
- Understanding of sourcing best practices and industry-specific markets
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional procurement certification (e.g., CPP, CPPB)
- Experience in industries such as manufacturing, healthcare, or technology
- Background in sourcing IT, construction, facilities, or professional services
- Familiarity with global sourcing and public procurement
Performance Metrics:
- Achieving annual cost savings (typically 5–15%)
- Supplier performance and delivery compliance
- Contract and stakeholder satisfaction
- Increased spend under management and supplier consolidation
