Key Responsibilities

Procurement Strategy & Planning:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with production and business goals.
  • Identify and evaluate reliable suppliers for raw materials, electronics, mechanical parts, and packaging materials.
  • Ensure cost-effective purchasing while maintaining high-quality standards.

Supplier & Vendor Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and manufacturers.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms to secure the best deals.
  • Regularly evaluate vendor performance, quality compliance, and service levels.

Purchase Order Management:

  • Raise, track, and manage purchase orders (POs) to ensure timely procurement.
  • Ensure proper documentation and approvals for all purchases.
  • Coordinate with finance and accounts for vendor payments and reconciliations.

Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination:

  • Monitor inventory levels and maintain optimum stock levels to prevent shortages.
  • Work closely with production and warehouse teams to align procurement with manufacturing schedules.
  • Implement Just-in-Time (JIT) purchasing to optimize inventory costs.

Cost Control & Budgeting:

  • Analyze cost structures and procurement expenses to optimize spending.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through supplier negotiations and process improvements.
  • Maintain procurement budgets and track expenditures.

Compliance & Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure all procured materials meet quality, regulatory, and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with quality control teams to inspect and approve incoming materials.
  • Stay updated with import/export regulations, taxes, and compliance policies.

Process Optimization & Reporting:

  • Develop and maintain procurement reports, purchase logs, and supplier databases.
  • Analyze market trends, material price fluctuations, and supply chain risks.
  • Implement ERP-based procurement systems for better efficiency.

Knowledge and skill required

  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills to handle supplier agreements.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, supply chain management, and vendor relations.
  • Understanding of industrial drones, electronics, mechanical parts, and raw material sourcing is a plus.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, procurement software, and inventory management tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to optimize cost and delivery efficiency.

Ability to handle multiple suppliers and manage procurement in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • MBA or PG Diploma in Procurement, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management is preferred.
  • 8-12 years of experience in procurement, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role.
  • Experience in aerospace, drone manufacturing, electronics, or automotive procurement is preferred.

Compensation

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to ₹600,000.00 per year
