Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Procurement Manager to lead our sourcing and purchasing activities within the manufacturing sector. The ideal candidate will oversee vendor relationships, manage procurement processes, and optimize supply chain operations to ensure cost-effective and timely acquisition of materials. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the company's operational efficiency and growth through effective procurement strategies and supply chain management.

Duties

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company goals, focusing on cost reduction and quality improvement.
  • Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Utilize ERP systems such as SAP and other supply chain software to manage procurement activities, including requisitions, purchase orders, and inventory control.
  • Oversee sourcing activities for raw materials, components, and services required for manufacturing operations.
  • Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply chain disruptions to proactively adjust procurement plans.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, logistics, and finance to forecast needs and streamline procurement processes.
  • Ensure adherence to MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems for optimal inventory levels.
  • Conduct vendor evaluations and performance reviews to maintain high standards of quality and reliability.
  • Lead negotiations to secure favorable pricing, terms, and delivery schedules while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
  • Maintain accurate procurement documentation and reporting for management review.

Experience

  • Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP or similar platforms; experience with MRP modules is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated expertise in vendor management, sourcing strategies, pricing negotiations, and contract management.
  • Familiarity with procurement best practices, supply chain logistics, and inventory control methodologies.
  • Excellent negotiation skills coupled with the ability to analyze market data for strategic decision-making.
  • Prior experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced production setting is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field; relevant certifications are a plus. This position plays a vital role in ensuring our manufacturing operations run smoothly by securing quality materials at optimal costs while maintaining strong supplier partnerships.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Temporary, Part-time

Pay: $58,939.21 - $70,980.56 per year
