Procurement Manager

Job Overview
The Procurement Manager at Splendid Aviation is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing the supply of aircraft parts, materials, and services required to support flight and maintenance operations. This role ensures cost-effective procurement while maintaining strict compliance with aviation regulations and quality standards. The ideal candidate has experience in aviation supply chains and a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and vendor management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies to support maintenance and operational needs
  • Source and purchase aircraft parts, equipment, tools, and services from approved vendors
  • Ensure all procured parts meet regulatory requirements, including traceability and airworthiness documentation (e.g., FAA Form 8130-3)
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service agreements to achieve cost savings and favorable terms
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, OEMs, and repair stations
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure parts availability
  • Oversee purchase orders, track shipments, and ensure on-time delivery
  • Evaluate supplier performance and address quality, cost, or delivery issues
  • Manage vendor onboarding and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including AOG (Aircraft on Ground) scenarios
  • Collaborate with finance to manage budgets, reconcile invoices, and control procurement costs
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes
  • Stay current on aviation industry trends, pricing, and regulatory updates

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, aviation management, business administration, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • 4–6+ years of procurement or purchasing experience, preferably in aviation
  • Strong knowledge of FAA regulations and aircraft parts documentation requirements
  • Experience with aviation supply chain systems, ERP platforms, or inventory management tools
  • Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and analytical skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)

Pay: $59,265.24 - $71,373.20 per year
