Role Overview:
Responsible for planning, managing, and supervising all procurement activities to ensure materials and services are sourced efficiently, cost-effectively, and in compliance with company policies and UAE regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily procurement operations and coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal departments.
- Develop procurement strategies and ensure timely sourcing of materials and services.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms with vendors and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, UAE regulations, and quality standards.
- Prepare and monitor procurement schedules, budgets, and cost control measures.
- Evaluate supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Review purchase requests, BOQs, quotations, and approve procurement documentation.
- Conduct market research to identify cost-saving opportunities and reliable suppliers.
- Manage inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites.
- Resolve procurement issues, delivery delays, and supplier disputes promptly.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and finance teams for procurement planning.
- Handle contract variations, purchase orders, and maintain accurate procurement records.
- Ensure effective resource planning and uninterrupted supply chain operations.
- Prepare procurement reports and present updates to management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 10–15 years UAE procurement experience, preferably in construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of UAE market suppliers, procurement procedures, and contract management.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement management tools.
- Excellent negotiation, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
