Procurement Manager

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to own sourcing, supplier relationships, and material procurement — including fabrics and upholstery materials — for our furniture production.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify, source, and procure fabrics and all production materials — including wood, MDF, veneers, foam, frames, hardware, paints, laminates, and finishes — along with production consumables (glue, screws, sandpaper, thread) and packaging materials.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, timely delivery, and quality compliance.

- Develop and maintain an approved vendor list, regularly evaluating supplier performance based on quality, pricing, and reliability.

- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements to secure favourable deals for the company.

- Ensure all materials meet technical specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements; for fabrics, assess composition, durability, colourfastness, and fire-safety compliance.

- Approve purchases up to an agreed spend limit and escalate higher-value purchases to management.

- Monitor material and tool stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking, keeping production on schedule.

- Analyse procurement costs regularly to optimise spending and protect product margin.

- Maintain compliance with UAE legal, environmental, and safety regulations.

- Prepare accurate purchase orders (POs) and maintain complete procurement documentation.

- Provide regular performance reports, including cost analysis and supplier evaluations.

- Oversee the procurement assistant — purchase order administration, supplier coordination, and reporting.

- Liaise with production and quality control to forecast material needs and align procurement with production schedules.

- Coordinate with the logistics function to ensure on-time delivery of materials to the factory.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of furniture and upholstery materials, suppliers, and market trends in the UAE — covering both joinery materials (wood, MDF, hardware) and fabrics.

- Proven experience in procurement or supply chain roles, preferably in furniture, joinery, or upholstery manufacturing.

- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.

- Demonstrated ability to own procurement decisions and manage suppliers independently.

- Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and MS Office tools.

- Ability to multitask, prioritise, and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.

- Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.

Requirements

- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a procurement role within the furniture, joinery, upholstery, or manufacturing sectors.

- Familiarity with UAE supplier networks and procurement practices.

- Ability to work in a factory-based environment.

- Arabic language skills are an advantage.

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per hour
