Hiring: Procurement Manager – Manufacturing Industry

Location: Abu Dhabi.

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Procurement Manager to lead and optimize our procurement function within a diversified manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in sourcing and procurement related to metal fabrication, galvanizing, steel processing, industrial chemicals, and manufacturing operations. This role requires a strategic procurement professional with a strong supplier network both within the U.A.E and internationally, capable of driving cost efficiencies, ensuring supply continuity, and implementing best-in-class procurement practices and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with business objectives and manufacturing requirements.
• Lead the procurement of raw materials, steel products, galvanizing materials, industrial chemicals, equipment, and manufacturing consumables.
• Establish, manage, and strengthen relationships with local and international suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors.
• Identify new sourcing opportunities and negotiate favorable commercial terms, contracts, and long-term agreements.
• Ensure uninterrupted material availability while optimizing inventory levels and reducing procurement costs.
• Monitor market trends, commodity pricing, supply chain risks, and industry developments to support strategic decision-making.
• Implement and continuously improve procurement policies, procedures, and SOPs.
• Drive procurement governance, compliance, and supplier performance management initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Operations, Engineering, Finance, and Project teams to support business requirements.
• Lead supplier evaluations, audits, qualification processes, and performance reviews.
• Prepare procurement reports, spend analysis, and cost-saving initiatives for senior management.
• Develop and mentor procurement team members to achieve departmental objectives and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Engineering background is highly preferred and will be considered a strong advantage, particularly in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Metallurgical, or Chemical Engineering disciplines.
• Minimum 10 years of procurement experience within manufacturing industries.
• Proven experience in procurement related to metal fabrication, galvanizing, steel manufacturing, industrial chemicals, and surface treatment processes.
• Strong technical understanding of manufacturing processes, production equipment, engineering materials, and industrial chemicals.
• Strong network of suppliers and industry contacts within the UAE and international markets.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing procurement SOPs, policies, and governance frameworks.
• Strong negotiation, vendor management, and contract administration skills.
• Experience with ERP systems and procurement management platforms.
• Advanced Arabic and English communication skills (written and verbal).
• Strong analytical, leadership, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Must be currently located in Abu Dhabi or willing to relocate to Abu Dhabi.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional certifications such as CIPS, CPSM, CSCP, or equivalent.
• Experience within multi-site manufacturing operations.
• Proven track record in strategic sourcing, supplier development, and procurement transformation initiatives.
